The River Thames: Lifeblood of London

This half day tour will bring you back to the origin of London’s power and grandness: the River Thames.

The tour will start at Tower Hill Tube station where we will see part of the ancient Roman walls and go back to the reason why the Romans settled here in London, the incredible resource of the Thames. Walking along the river itself this tour will satisfy all sort of curiosity:  the history, the myths, the gory stories related to the river. We will cross some of the bridges that cross the Thames and from which you have the most beautiful views of London.

We will then go for a fantastic cruise on the river from Tate Modern with the Tate boat that will take us to Tate Britain in Pimlico where our tour will finish.

  • Duration: approx four hours
  • For a full day option an afternoon visit of Tate Britain will be offered to explore British art and the influence of the river Thames on beautiful works of art.
  • Tickets of the Tate Boat will be charged in the tour fee
